The T8 analog inputs have channel-to-channel isolation allowing them to measure across their full range with common mode voltages up to the isolation spec from Appendix A-3-3-1.
Appendix A-3-3-1 has the abbreviated range values, which are also the values used when specifying the desired range. See the table below for the exact nominal ranges. For example, the T8 has a range called ±4.8V, specified for AIN2 by writing AIN2_RANGE=4.8, and the actual nominal range in that case is ±4.884V.
